Leadership Allegany! is a nine-month program designed to educate future leaders by helping to identify regional issues and gain a deeper understanding of the leadership structure within and beyond Mountain Maryland. The program begins in September with an orientation and concludes in June with graduation ceremonies. Each month class members identify and address pressing issues facing the county and deal with topics such as education, social services, economic development, local and state government, tourism, healthcare, and the environment. Steering Committee members meet monthly to plan and formulate topic days.

Leadership Allegany! Class of 2017 Graduation
New for 2018
Leadership Allegany! Rising is a seven-month program for high school juniors designed to educate future leaders by helping to identify regional issues and gain a deeper understanding of the leadership structure within and beyond Mountain Maryland. The inaugural program, modeled after the Chamber’s very successful Leadership Allegany! program, is dedicated to providing positive change by creating a network of future leaders committed to impacting their community. In a forum of open discussion and interaction, class members will gain the knowledge and motivation to effect positive changes within the region.
Leadership Allegany! Rising will begin recruiting participants for the Class of 2019 in the fall. Incoming high school juniors interested in participating should contact their school counselors. This program is of no cost to the students.
