Legislative Committee Meeting
The Legislative Committee meets weekly at noon during the Maryland General Assembly Legislative session and monthly throughout the rest of the year held in the Chamber Boardroom. The committee is tasked with promoting the business interests of the region as they correspond to the legislative process. This active committee hosts both a pre and wrap-up legislative breakfast with elected officials and meets weekly during the session and monthly throughout the year to review all business related bills. Special interests are heard in this committee, which coordinates with the Maryland State Chamber of Commerce to lend a voice for Allegany County.

Maryland General Assembly Maryland Chamber of Commerce Maryland Chamber Action Network Maryland Association of CountiesMountain Maryland License Plate – Mountain Maryland PACE (Positive Attitudes Change Everything) Committee Co-Chair Bob Smith, Allegany Aggregates, led the campaign to obtain a license plate featuring the mountain side of Maryland. Through the Motor Vehicle Administration’s non-profit unit, that goal was been realized.
