From June 26 to June 28 the Greenway Sojourners, a group of approximately 500 bicyclists, visited Allegany County as part of their eight-day bicycle ride that began in Washington D.C. and ended in Pittsburgh.  The Sojourners local journey spanned from Little Orleans, Oldtown, Cumberland, and Frostburg. 

At each location a myriad of volunteers were on hand to assist the bicyclists with questions and offer them a friendly smile.  The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce would like to extend special thanks to our members (about 70) who volunteered a combined total of over 200 hours to come out and "meet and greet" the bicyclists and serve as ambassadors.
